Fatal Mistakes:  Families Shattered by Suicide

For several years, Barbara has been sharing this Emmy-winning documentary with her audiences.  Fatal Mistakes chronicles the recovery of several families in the aftermath of the suicide.  The 1998 film introduces you to brothers and sisters, daughters and sons, mothers and fathers who struggle daily with the loss, stigma, blame, and shame that inevitably accompany such a tragic death.  Though Barbara is proud to be a part of this film, sadly it chronicles her own father's suicide.  Survivors, like Barbara, share their common experience with the hope that they will comfort others experiencing similar grief and prevent others from experiencing the pain of losing a loved one to suicide.
